Attaching The ShovelMachine™ handle

 Parts List

• The ShovelMachine™ handle with mount

• Two (2) hose clamps (used to clamp the mount onto your existing shovel, rake, pitch fork, etc.) 

• Velcro tie (holds the handle up in place when stored or not in use)

 

Attaching The ShovelMachine™handle  

• Remove the Velcro tie and the two hose clamps from the handle.  Do not throw away the Velcro tie. It will be used to secure The ShovelMachine™ handle while it is not being used or while it is stored.

• Loosen both hose clamps all the way open.

• Move The ShovelMachine™ handle to the side.

• Place your shovel, hoe, pitchfork, etc. on the ground or work bench. 
  Wrap the clamps around the handle of the shovel and loosely tighten the hose clamps to the handle.  Ensure the screws are on the back side of the shovel.

• Place The ShovelMachine™ handle on top of the shovel handle very close to the bottom of the handle, right above the shovel head, pitch fork, etc. 

• Slip the hose clamps over the mount, placing the clamps in the grooved channel.  Tighten the bottom clamp, then do the same with the clamp in the upper channel of the mount.  Keep the screws to the underneath side of the shovel.

Wrap the Velcro strap around the shovel handle by threading the smaller end
through the hole of the strap and pull it snug. When not using The ShovelMachine™
handle, strap the top of The ShovelMachine™ handle snug against the shovels handle.
